Here on Mount View Farm, the land tells our family's story, echoing with the footsteps of two generations who've tended to its soil. Back in '08, we decided it was time to change things up. Tired of the struggle to find quality beef and wanting something our kids could sink their teeth into, we took the plunge. Out went the tenant farmers, and in came our own premium Angus herd, right here in Tappahannock, VA. We've rolled with the punches since then, adapting to the times. Now, we don't just raise top-notch beef; we bring it straight to your doorstep. No fuss, no frills, just good ol' fashioned farm-to-table goodness. Welcome to our slice of Virginia heritage, right here at Mount View Farm.

A Quarter or Half Beef purchase is great for families, meal planners and those who love the convenience of having quality beef on hand when needed. 

At approximately 24+/- months of age, the beef is processed at a small USDA processing facility.  It is aged for 2-weeks +/-, then cut, individually vacuum sealed and frozen. Steaks are cut at 1.5" and roast a approximately 3-4 pounds. Bones and organ meat is available upon request at no extra charge. 

We require a $400.00 deposit with the final payment due upon pick up. 

Order fulfillment is typically 4 to 6 weeks. On farm pick up or local delivery can be arranged. This item is not available for shipping.

From Our Pastures to Your Plate

    Indulge in the exquisite taste of Mt View Farm! Choose what works best for your family. Our pasture-raised Quarter or Half Beef selections will fill your freezer for months to come making meal prep easier than ever. Our straightforward checkout process is simple and secure—it's that easy!

  • Customize

    Once you place your order, we'll take it from there! For Half Beef orders expect a call from us to ensure you get what you want. We will ask things like

    • how thick do you want your steaks cut?
    • How many pounds do you want your roasts to be?
    • Do you want organ meat?
    • What about bones?

    Whether you select a Quarter or Half Beef we will contact you with a "Ready Date" to schedule an on-farm pick-up or local delivery date.

  • Savor

    Now for the fun part! Prep for the arrival of your order - make freezer space, you will need at least 2.5-cu ft for a Quarter Beef and twice that for a Half Beef. If you plan to visit the farm to pick up your beef, please bring several coolers or boxes. Towels work get for insulation. Start looking at recipes! Your order will include steaks, roasts and ground beef. Get creative with meal planning! Make your own Beef BBQ, host a Mexican Night or celebrate a special moment with a delicous steak dinner.
